Making headlines! Art Social launched for Community & Corporate Team-Building

Maidenhead, 15 September 2025 - Windsor and Maidenhead Mayor, Cllr Mandy Brar, joined community leaders at Bardo Lounge in Maidenhead on 10 September to launch Art & Community - a hands-on series inviting adults to put down screens and rediscover the calm and connection that comes from making things together.

Guests, who also included Cllr Gurch Singh, Seema Goyal (Chair and former President, Maidenhead & Windsor Chamber of Commerce), Rotarian Mark Loader, Mrinal Madina and PR consultant Emma Kisbey, joined a two-hour guided art session, honing their drawing skills and experiencing the sense of wellbeing that comes from doing so.

Maidenhead local Emma Sweeting, founder of Art Social which is running the sessions, said:

“I’m creating relaxed, welcoming spaces where people can switch off, make something with their hands, and feel part of a community. You don’t need to be ‘good at art’ - you just need to book a place via www.ArtSocial.co.uk, turn up and have a great time. I’d love to see local businesses getting involved - these sessions are a great way to promote health and wellbeing in the workplace, and they make for fantastic team-building experiences too.”
